Your score on each graded assignment is mapped to a normalized grade in the range [0,5] via the piecewise-linear interpolation provided; for example, if you scored 83 on PS1, an assignment which maps
scores [100, 90, 85, 70, 65, 45, 40, 25, 20, 10, 0] to grades [5.0, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.5, 2.0, 1.5, 1.0, 0.5, 0.0],
your grade would be the linear interpolation: (83 - 70)/(85 - 70)*0.5 + 3.5 = 3.94
(When computing, we always round up to the nearest hundredth.)

Grades mapped to the half-open intervals (4, 5], (3, 4], (2, 3], (1, 2], and [0, 1] correspond to letter grades A, B, C, D, and F respectively. This term Alternate Grades are in effect (PE, NE, IE). To determine your final grade in the class, we will compute the weighted sum of your mapped assignment grades. A sum strictly above a 2 will receive a PE in this class. All other students will be assigned a grade individually based on institute recommendations.

As grades change over time due to regrades, the scores on this website may differ from the scores shown on Gradescope. We will only update this website once or twice a week. Gradescope is the authority on the current values of your assignment grades. If your grade is different here than on Gradescope, it should be updated here within a week. If you think your grades have been logged incorrectly, please email 6.006-questions@mit.edu.

Reminder of course late policy:
Your two highest scoring late submissions will not be penalized, but any other unexcused late submission will be penalized by 50%. We will designate any penalized late submissions as penalized here after grades for PS9 have been released.

Reminder of recitation policy:
Your recitation score was assigned by your TA according to your attendance and participation before the transition online. Your recitation grade is the average of 5.0 and the TA's assigned score.
